Cupcakes Finally Done

This is my final blog and after 4 weeks of making cupcakes I only made 7 out of 10 cupcakes. I am really over cupcakes and I am glad to see the end of the challenge because I have seen and eaten so many cupcakes in the last 4 weeks. I am proud of my effort towards the cupcakes and am happy to make 7 out of 10 in 4 weeks that is more than what I thought I would make.

The list of my favourite cupcakes that I have made in order of how I liked them.

  1. Triple Chocolate
  2. Chocolate chip
  3. Giant cupcake
  4. Butterfly cupcake
  5. Vanilla Cupcake
  6. Orange and poppy seed
  7. Banana cupcake

The giant cupcake was defiantly the best to make because it was a challenge and was something different.

Most of my cupcakes were from the same recipe book so the base of the cupcake was pretty much the same but just some ingredients were a bit different and now I think I can probably make cupcakes with out a recipe because I have made so many.

Now that this is my last blog and I will have no more cupcakes I dont no what I will eat considering that I have been making cupcakes and I have been eating them.

Bye xoxo

Last cupcake done

I finally made my last cupcake even though I dint make 10 I still made 7 I was really happy. The final flavour I made was Chocolate chip flavour cupcakes. They were really yummy and a great way to finish the cupcakes of with. I had a bit of trouble making the icing cause it looked nothing like it was meant to I was just to runny so I added more icing sugar and it worked better.

I was so happy to finish my last cupcake that is wasn’t my best job I just wanted to finish them so they were a little rushed but they still tasted really good and looked good to.

I would rate
  • Taste a 9 out of 10 because they were really yummy.
  • Appearance an 8 out of 10 because the icing was a bit weird and they dint look as good as some of the others that I have made.
  • Easy to bake a 8 out of 10 because they actually cupcake was easy but the icing was a little harder than the others and it didn’t work so I had to try and fix it.

Later on I will be posting my favourite cupcakes in order and maybe some recipes for my favourite ones.

Orange and Poppy Seed

The flavour cupcake that I made last was orange and poppy seed. It didn’t take me that long to make and was easier to make than the giant cupcake. It tasted all right it had a pretty strong flavour. I didn’t fill the cupcake up to much which was good so they didn’t over flow and they were all the same height. I still liked the triple chocolate the best.

I would rate the
  • Taste I would rate the taste an 8 ½ out of 10 because it was really strong flavour and I didn’t really like it that much.

  • Appearance I would rate the appearance an 8 ½ out of 10 because they were all the same height and they looked good but I think they could off looked better.

  • Easy to Bake a 8 out of 10 there was a few more steps than the others and took a bit longer but not as long as the giant cupcake.

I don’t think I will be able to make 10 different flavour cupcakes in 4 weeks because the 4 weeks is nearly up and I have only made 6 cupcakes and I will be making one more flavour which will be chocolate chip and that will only make 7 cupcakes so I am 3 cupcake short. I think I have had enough cupcakes and am a little over the site of cupcakes.

Stay tuned to see how the chocolate chip flavour cupcakes go.

Giant Cupcake

On Saturday Ayeisha came over to my house and we made a giant cupcake which I need to make for a family event that would be on Sunday. The cupcake took a while to make and there was so much mixture. The cake took longer than what it was meant to take to bake and when I went to test if the Cupcake was cooked I put a whole in the cake it wasn’t that big and I could cover it up with icing after it came out of the oven.

Then was it was cooked (that took a while) and we waited for it to cool and we than had to put the cupcake together and ice it. We had to make heaps of icing to cover the whole cupcake. We than decorated the cupcake.

This looked really good and it was something different to make not just a normal cupcake. I would rate

  • Taste a 8 out of 10 it was little cooked in some parts and a little undercooked in other parts but you couldn’t really tell and it still tasted nice
  • Appearance a 9 ½ out of 10 because it looked really yummy and looked really nice to.
  • And easy to bake a 6 out of 10 because it took awhile to make and a while to bake.

Stay tuned to see what I bake next which will be orange and poppy seed and see how that turns out.

Butterfly Cupcakes

Last night I made my fourth flavour cupcake it was the butterfly cupcake. They turned out nice and they were tasty to. I still like the triple chocolate the best. The butterfly cupcakes were a little more complicated then the others.

When they came out of the oven I had to cut the top of and cut that in half to form the wings. I than put strawberry jam and the icing in were I had cut out the top and then put the wings on top to form the butterflies wings. They took longer than what I thought to prepare. I had to make sure that I didn’t over flow the cupcake because other wise the wings wouldn’t work out.

These cupcakes were yum my and they looked nice so I than rated

  • Taste 8 ½ out of 10 because they tasted really yummy
  • Appearance 9 out of 10 because they didn’t look like a normally cupcake they look different in a good way.
  • Easy to bake 7 out of 10 because they took longer than the other cupcakes.
Stay tuned to see what I bake next.

Three down

I made my third cupcake and I choose to make banana flavour. It was alright but I still liked my triple chocolate flavour the best. The recipe did not have icing so I had to find a plain icing recipe to make. The icing matched the cupcake well which I was happy with. I didn’t fill the cupcake pan with to much mixture this time so the cupcakes didn’t over flow liked last time. It didn’t take me that long to make the cupcake this time either I think that I am getting better at making them because I have made so many in such a short time.

The cupcake was not my favourite favour cupcake that I have made so I would rate
  • Taste 6 ½ out of 10 because it wasn’t my favourite flavour.
  • Appearance 7 out of 10 because they didn’t over flow and they looked yummy.
  • Easy to bake 8 out of 10 because it wasn’t that hard there was very little steps.
I think I am over cupcakes because I have made and eaten too many, and I think that I have over estimated myself in making 10 different flavour cupcakes in four weeks but I will keep going and see how many more I can make. The next flavour I will be doing is Butterfly cupcakes stay tuned to see how they go.

Second batch, and they taste yummy

Last night I made my second flavour cupcake which was triple chocolate flavour. I choose this flavour because I love chocolate and when I found triple chocolate flavour recipe I knew I had to make it. It turned out pretty good. The cupcake was yummy and I would make it again it wasn't that hard to make it didn't take me long which was good. The cupcake was chocolate with dark chocolate inside the cupcake that melted when it was cooked and it had chocolate icing.

When my cupcakes came out of the oven once again I had put to much mixture in the pan and some of the cupcakes over flew so I will have to work on putting the right amount in the pan.

I was happy with the cupcake I made they were yummy and they looked nice to so I decided I would rate

  • Taste a 9 out of 10 because when u bite into the cupcake there was more chocolate inside.

  • Appearance 8 out of 10 because they looked really yummy

  • And easy to bake 8 out of 10 the icing took a little bit of time but it was worth it because it was the best icing.

I haven't decide which flavour I will do next but I will tell you when I decided stay tuned for more cupcakes.
